City Building Committee

YouTube, Barrie, ON

This won't be a live-tweet, my little duckies, as both I and my understudies have a wee gathering Tuesday night, but feel free to watch without me! I'm afraid I'll have to mostly-dead tweet it later in the evening, depending on my state of mind, or decayed-tweet it for you the next day.

On the menu: a presentation about the changes to Ontario's Blue Box regulations, reports from the Heritage Barrie Committee, Active Transportation and Sustainability Committee, and Communities in Bloom Committee.

Recommendations to be considered: investigating conducting a study (yes, an investigation into an investigation) about the establishment of Heritage Conservation Districts; that staff provide links to webinars from the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals; providing a letter of support to Living Green Barrie for their application to the Natural Resources Canada Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (say THAT five times fast!); updating the Single Tree Bylaw (get them a dating app, duh!); looking into adding sidewalks and bike lanes to the Sunnidale Road Overpass, and adding 84 Cumberland St. and 125 Toronto St. to the Municipal Heritage Register.
