Hot off the heels of the BIA meeting, we get Planning Committee! (Hope we get a potty break.)
First off is a public meeting for a ridiculous monstrosity that seems to assume that people with a shit-ton of cash to spare on a condo would want to live on a brownfield. They also want to double the allowed height, and eliminate landscape buffers and parking requirements. How do you spell brazen, dahrlings? But that's okay, this will be of great benefit to all those who wish their very own private elevator, to avoid the Riff-raff. (Oh, perhaps Mr. Hamilton would like a unit?)
And then there's a staff report about another zoning bylaw application, to move a property from Innisfil Rural Residential to Barrie Neighbourhood Residential, so they can put some new homes there. Nothing about private elevators, sadly, but you know those champagne dreams! (Or, gin dreams, anyhow.)
