Ooh, DUCKIES!!! It appears that a certain puerile councillor has gotten himself in trouble with the Integrity Commissioner, and she will be bringing a report to Council about his breaching numerous sections of the Code of Conduct, including blocking her investigation, and recommending a reprimand. Instead of respecting her report, however, he's decided to go full-throttle tantrum. Instead of respecting her jurisdiction or her ruling, he's now doubling down, and promising ever more of the troublesome behaviour (including, of course, disrespecting the Integrity Commissioner) in Council. Well, for those of you who have been pondering whether Morales could descend into even less professional behaviour, THE ANSWER IS YES!!! I am not certain whether to be amazed or dismayed, but THERE WILL BE GIN, darlings, oh yes, there will be gin. And popcorn. And perhaps a giant hankie to weep into, as we watch Barrie democracy hit its final death throes on the Tube of Yous.
Also on the docket, deputations regarding paid sick days and the indoor gun range (🎶 If I had a rocket launcher... 🎶), acceptance of a fire safety grant (does accepting money really require a debate, darlings?), and a presentation on the Stormwater Climate Action Fund.
Oh yes, and some secretive stuff (they call it solicitor-client privilege) about the harassment case of the other out-of-control councillor who keeps us all awake at night.
